No time to craft, no time to play, makes Wendy a dull girl lol
Sorry i really am,but what with christmas, still having problems with my back, fostering and doing level3 Diploma for fostering i just aint got anytime for myself!! :(
BUT and i say but!1 Diploma has to be finished by Feb 18th and then the fun begins!! I am currently also clearing out my craft room in the loft. loads of odds and sods to Ebay soon ( once ive found the time to take photo's of everything.) Boring job i know, but it has to be done, We are planning to have a loft conversion done sometime this year, so we have to have a major clear out!! Ive got/did have stuff of my Daughters, stuff of my sons but both have had their stuff back.. so now just Lisa and Chloe's stuff to sort out..
AND!! the biggest announcement of all is........... drum roll......... Im going to be a Nanny in July this year, first timeNanny i might add. and i cant wait!
Right thats enough of me
off to my card making class, so at least i get some crafting done lol

Helloo sorry im not putting much on my blog lately, but ive been busy with other things and as you can see by my previous post a new puppy to look after. We are at the moment making christmas advent calenders, wall hangings and canvases, ive still got christmas cards to make as well yet lol.

These are some tags that i made at my craft weekend beginning of October and had forgotten that i hadnt put them on here.

We done the amazing tim holtz tags i just love his work and i am slowly getting back into it :)

A journal book which i love and in the middle of making them for my step daughters for christmas and the lovely pencil case box, using pva glue and acrylic paints, cheap version of the crackle paints.

Couldnt say no when we went to view her, she is soo adorable. She is a 10 week old Blue Merle Collie.

Well, ive made a few cards but not had chance to put them on my blog yet, i will try and do so next week, No placement at the moment and colin got no works, so not having a brilliant time at the moment, but i have managed in the last few days to get some christmas shopping done!!

Today Colin and i are starting on the Advent box, also got the 12 days of christmas hanger to do... Several bracelts made will try and put some on here.

Here are a few cards that ive made in the last 3 weeks, im finding it very hard to sit and make a card, the 3 christmas cards were made at my card making class on a thurs night. the bottom 2 was an order for the company i work for, our admin girl is leaving us, such a shame as she is a lovely girl. I had to make 2 one from the staff and one from us foster carers.

well the first 6 weeks after my surgery everything was going well, then suddenly i had this terrible pain in my right side but going into my back as well. Only way at the time that i could describe it was like having permenant stitch in my side. it then went on to feeling like something is digging in my side... Went to Docs and he said its a trapped nerve!! so im back to complete rest and dosed up with Tramadol.
I feel really bad as ive had to let a customer down and tell her i cant do her wedding stationery, how bad do i feel!! Gutted.
So still no card making for me :( loads of rest for now but it is sooo frustrating.. TJ our placement left us last Monday, at the moment we are doing emergancy respite for a 14 yr old boy. seems ok so far, but then u can never tell, its what we call the honeymoon period where they are well behaved, do what you ask them to do. and do everything he can to make us like him..lol we shall see.

Hopefully soon i will be back with a card or a piece of jewellery , i have got some that ive made, i might try and put them on here later

Hellooo everyone

Ive now been home nearly 2 weeks since my back operation and everything is going great. I had the clips out on Thursday,i got my darling hubby to come in with me as i was worried i might pass out!! Good job i did, she got to the 17th clip to take out and i turned to Colin and said i feel sick and everything gone black, so they had to quickly lay me down for a bit lol what a fool i felt!!
nurse was well impressed, its all looking good, she said to wait 3 to 5 days then i could have a shower and wash my hair yeahhhhhh gosh fancy getting excited over that lol. I'm so glad i had the surgery on my back, I've now got no pain in my legs and when he put a pin in the tops of my legs and YES i can feel my legs again but ouch did that bliddy hurt lol.
Not sure how i will manage yet as our shower is over the bath, but knowing my lovely husband he will find a way.
Really missing making cards, that will be another 4 weeks yet before i can start thinking about crafting.
I did buy the polka doodles 1 & 2 discs the other day, first time I've brought them before but I'm impressed with them
peed off thou as i was going to buy it from create&craft but when i went on there its saying i don't belong to there club anymore!! How come they haven't notified me and told me it had ran out? so i ended up going on polka doodles shop and brought it from them!
Ive got card orders waiting to be done and 2 or maybe 3 wedding stationery orders to be done, but they are not needed till early next year and after.
Hope your all well? I'm trying to find the energy to sit and look at your blogs, i will soon i promise!!

Hello my friends im home

Operation went well on Thursday, didnt go to theatre untill 3,40pm i was back in recovery suite about 5.15pm and back on the ward just before 6pm
I seen my consultant friday afternoon he was very pleased with what he had done in his words" I took out all the twisty bits and fused it all together, so now your full of metal" lol bless him, said i could go home saturday, but by saturday my wound was weeping slightly, so i didnt go home till Monday. Boy was it good to get home and sleep in my own bed. fell asleep at 11pm and didnt wake till 7.15am yeahhh what a differance that made me feel better on its own, I loved the morphone pump on the first night no pain what so ever. friday and sat i had liquid morphine as couple opf times but apart from that i was fine :)

I just hate the fact that i can hardly do anything for myself, but i dont want to uindo what he has done. I now have no pain in my legs at all and i can feel my legs yeahhhh
28th July i have to go to get clips taken out of my back BUT no lifting,stretching,bending or twisting for 6 whole weeks!! so no card making for a while
It wasnt untill aftewr my operation thatr i really realised how major my operation was, but then thats not a bad thing otherwise i wouldnt of had it done lol

last few cards and a bracelet

the first card is for a customers mum and step dads wedding anniversary. all made on the cricut expression yesterday when we done the 12 hr craftathon for kids with meningitus, the card is made in Ivory and Burgandy. the couples wedding colours. I cant remember which cartridge was used sorry as i borrowed my friends.

This card is for a customer daughters birthday and she wanted, fashion and make up on it. I added a pair of earrings that janet made for me to put on the card. stamp was also borrowed yesterday and im not sure where the papers come from..we all helped ourselves to each others stash yesterday.. I do hope she likes the card.

This card was made for my friend Gundula's birthday. i realised at 11.10pm last night that i had not made and sent her a card OPPS lol.. the image is from Kanban and the handbag and butterly,. card used to make it from my stash.

A friend of mine fell in love with my bracelet thats was made in gold, green and peach. she asked me if i would make her one, so i made this yesterday as well. I hope she will like it. took me 5 hrs to make!! went wrong now and again lol.

sorry its a quick post, ive got loads to do. New date for my back operation has came through and it is this thursday!! Nooo im not nervous..not at all!! im just bricking it arghhhh but i know it has to be done, so ive got to put my big girls pants on. be brave and strong and in a few months hopefully i will be back in the Gym, walking and cycling and getting myself fit again!1 Ive lost 8lb this week just with the nerves of knowing im going in on Thursday

So i wil say bye bye for now. hopefully in about 6 to 8 weeks i will be back making cards and blogging again

sketch N Stash Challenge

Hello, well ive managed another card LOL just dont seem to get the time anymore. Ive done the Sketch N Stash challenge again this week, Sketches are so easy if your like me and lost your mojo ...Anyway on to the card, i have had this imaged coloured in for ages!! Its just a 6x6 white card, ive used a lovely dark pink card from my local craft shop Jobo Crafts and papers from a free pad in a magazine a few months ago. Sentiment is computer generated. Ive added a flower or 2 in the top left corner and a incy wincy bow in pink.

Ive got a few orders to get on with. A Goth card for a 17 yrs old boy and a card for a 15 yr old with fashion and make up..So i best get on

Wedding card

Another card made at my card making workshop that i go to on Thursday nights.,The other 2 cards that we made i havnt put any sentiments on them yet. so will show them another time

The main theme for last Thursday nights cards were "peel offs" i think it has came out really well. the bride and Groom peel off was put on to Vellum and lightly embossed then coloured with Promarkers. The card itself was ivory and a few peel offs to finish off the card

sketch n stash challenge

I had to make a tractor birthday card so ive used sketch n stash sketch this week to make my card. the tractor is a molly Bloom stamp and i just love all of Clares stamps. Ive used tan coloured backing card and BP is from Papermania Hampstead papers. a few buttons on the right hand corner and the sentiment is computer generated. Ive got another Tractor card to put on here, i will try and do that later or tomorow.

Ive got an appointment at my doctors Thursday after constant nagging of my friends. Ive just ached all over in every possible place, which has made me lacking of energy or get up and go. It has been going on now for the last few weeks and time before that was a few months ago. Ive given up going to my doctors because all i get is " Lets wait and see what your like after your back operation Wendy, if its still bad we will look into it" so whats the betting that they will say it again on Thursday. I wouldnt mind so much but the constant headaches are getting me down as well as every part of my body hurting, im not getting anything down

Oh well enough of my moaning lol sorryyyy

For some unknown reason, google is not accepting my name and password,I am trying to get it sorted, in the mean time i am sorry but because i cant sign in or when i signed in and try to leave comments on your blogs it is asking me to sign in Grrrrrr. But im on the case and hopefully all will be ok soon.. Just wanted you all to know as i didnt want you thinking i was ignoring you all!!

Not that i seem to get the chance to get on here much lately, what with our new hens,fostering, card and wedding satationery orders plus doing my Diploma im not getting a chance to get on here OR even get on facebook lately!1 Hmm something is going terribly wrong somewhere, where has my "me time" gone??

But i am trying to get 2 cards finished today and hopefully i will get time to put them on my blog

Rang hospital, so stuuuupid!! looks like ive gone to the back of waiting list for my operation again so that works out middle of August!!.So peed off with it all and on top of that lately, my whole body is just full of aches n pains every single bone and muscle hurts :( But hey i will survive as the song goes lol

Not much time for anything lately, we are having a major ndeclutter of our house, but i thought you might like to meet the new additions to our family.. please meet Milly Molly and Meg!! weve only had them about 6 days, but hopefully they will start giving us some eggs in the next few days.

My decluttering is to sort out all my wooden rubber stamps, ive got a full box of them that will be going on Ebay monday/Tuesday. If your interested let me know and i can send you our Ebay name

the cards here that ive made is using shrink plastic, i made these at my card making class last Thursday.It was great fun as i hadnt used shrink plastic for agggeeessssss

Well! ive managed to get a card done, i needed a Baby card for a customer and i thought i would use the Sketch n Stash Challenge to help me on the way. so this is it, hope you like it.
Ive used Joanna Sheen Baby CDROM there are some lovely images on this one.
I followed the sketch right, i hope!! lol. Sentiment is computer Generate. ive added Blue Organza ribbon and some gorgeous flowers from Wildorchidcrafts.

Helloo Blogging Friends

Well firstly i will say "sorry" ive not had time to do anything lately.Colin was away last week on aq four day training in Chester.which meant that i had to do all the cooking cleaning etc and it really tired me out and my back was killing me! Still sat waiting for another app for my back operation. I want it done so i can get on with my life. Our placement decided to have a funny 5 mins to add to the stress, but all ok now.
Thursd 5th May we ste off to Chester for my friends daughter wedding. I got invited to the wedding as i had done the wedding stationery for them, how kind is that!! Thank you Salma and Richard and may i wish you a very happy journey in your new life together.The wedding was in a castle and i must say it was the best wedding ceromony that i have ever been to..I will try and get some pics on later of me in my posh new dress that my DH brought me, i was really spoilt.
And as well as that, i have my Level 3 Diploma to do in Children young peoples workforce!! Grrr why did i say i would do it lol, so much to do and not much time. so cards im afraid are hit and miss at the moment but im itching to get on and make some..Ive got 2 orders to get done by Thurs so fingers crossed i will do them

this first card is for my daughters birthday on Sunday, she will be 27!! omg it makes me feel old.

the papers are from the last creative cardmaking magazine, I added the ribbon in pink and White organza, the flowers are from Wildorchidcrafts and the embelishment on the ribbon is from Ebay, i lve them!.

the second card again is from the same papers and magazine, this is for a forum friend whose birthday is on Saturday. i added a craftwork cards sentiment,flowers and smarties :)

This card is for my friends daughter who is getting married on Friday, we got invited to the wedding because i had made her wedding stationery, bless her..the parchment design is from the January issue of Parchment craft Magazine, i changed the design slightly as i didnt have thr right tools.

The card itself is Ivory hammered card, the rose backing is from the Glitter Girls it is a gorgeous silk material. I used black and red organza down the left hand side, words are computer generated.

Ladies Day

My Time To Craft Challenge this week is "Ladies Day" seeing as i had to make a card for my sisters Birthday next week. Well as you can probably tell the image is from the Fashion boutique from Joanna Sheens shop.. I have used the backing paper from the cd matted it onto brown card. the image itself is been put onto a acetate wrap, which doesnt actually show up on here.. also backed onto gold and some black mirri card. ribbon and brads are from my stash, im trying to use up odds and ends lol, to finish it off a lovely paper flower display in the bottom right corner, sentiment is computer generated.

Isnt the weather gorgeous at the moment? Colin has finished our wardrobes and hos now started making my dressing table and stool and im being lazy sat here making cards when i should be doing that awful thing called Ironing!!

"Less is More Masculine card

For the first time i am entering the "Less is More" Challenge Ive looked at it often but never entered.. The stamped image is a new stamp that i got at my local craft shop Jobocrafts, the owner Alli is one in a million, very helpful and supports us all the time in what we make. Thanks Alli.

So ive stamped this image and coloured it in with my promarkers, the happy birthday sentiment is from a freebie set of stamps on a magazine a while ago.

I really enjoyed making this card and hope it will get me back into stamping..I have sooo many stamps lol.

No news on my date for my operation, i do hope it will be soon

Colin has now finished the wardrobes in our bedroom and he is now making plans to make my dressing table :) Im so lucky

I was all set and i got a phonecall saying it was cancelled, so i went to my card making class last night and made a few more cards ...

tonight was all about brayering, masking and stamping,.using Debbie moores new stamps and not sure where the others are from....Note to oneself i really must take more notice lol.

I really enjoyed the class this week.

sorry just a quick post, ive got loads to do and not that much time for card making which i do miss. i envy you all when you find the time to craft.. I am doing my Level 3 Diploma for the children and young peoples workforce, im enjoying it but there is a lot to do.

But we have got a year to do it in, but each piece of work we are given has to be done and taken back to be assessed in 4 weeks. So need to move my butt lol

Last few cards for a while friends

Well thats my last few cards for the next 4 or 5 weeks, maybe longer, i go in for my back operation early Thursday morning.. the nerves are just begining to set in! I hate hospitals and i will be in for 3 to 5 days, so me and my determination hopefully i will be home in 3 to 4 days..

sorry, on to the cards.. 2 are the flippin women cards one for a 40th birthday the other for a customer a mothers day card. I just love these images! you can make them as serious or as funny as you want. the handbag shoes and perfume stamped image on one of them are clear stamps from Little claires, love her stamps :) and of course coloured in with Promarkers. the other one has had some flowers put on it, flowers are from my stash and punched leaves are a MS punch .

The Tarot cards card are for a customers mum, took me for ever to find the right tarot cards and their meanings, wouldnt want to put anything bad on there lol.... orange backing paper was from my stash i think one of Joanna Sheens older paper pads, corner dies are one of cuttlebug dies that my dear friend Chrissie done for me AGES ago,, see i did use them eventually sweetie lol. Piece of cream lace which i threaded a thin piece of orange ribbon through and tied in a knot. and flowers in bottom right corner are from Wild orchard crafts. punched leaves again are from a MS punch.

Baby card are all from Joanna Sheens Baby Love cd rom and a couple of buttons to finish it off :)

You Rock and a few others

A few more to show you this week, apart from the "you Rock" card.these were all made at a card making workshop that i go to on at Thursday at "Jobocrafts" Alli is brilliant and how ever im feeling, by the time we go home im all smiley and happy again lol

The "you Rock" card was for my Step Daughters Birthday on Feb 26th, didnt do what i intended to do as i ran out of time!! So i used my brayer for the background on Glossy card, then stamped the guitar in clear ink then heat embossed in Black.. Background of card was also brayered in the same colour blues. not rocket science but i enjoyed making it lol.

Tomorow is my pre op assesment BUT ive come down with a cold and sore throat, so they might tell me tomorow that i cant go in the following week for surgery on my back..I hope not, i want this over and done with so i can get on and do all the things ive missed doing over the years (Hopefully)

On to making Mothers day cards for customers i guess. but with a muzzy head im not thinking very well lol

Think it might be look for a challenge blog and see if from that i can get a few cards done

Baby girl card

I was asked to make a baby card for my neighbour, he knew his sister was having a girl, so it was pretty easy to do lol

I also am hoping that it will fit the Friday Sketchers challenge this week, well i can only try cant i lol. Ive not done a challenge for ages n ages so im so pleased ive managed one.

Ive used Joanna Sheens Baby Love cdrom, using this cute girly image and also the backing papers from this cd. and a little bit of ribbon and bit of love to finish her off.

Black Red and White Birthday

Oh my goodness 2 cards in 1 day from me!! Think i may need to go and lay down LOL.. This is for another customer a 21st birthday card. She loves Playboy..didnt know people still were lol. showing my age now

Well apart from punching out the little playboys (thanks to my friend Ali that lent me the punch) they were very fiddly trying to glue them on ... so just red and black card. A piece of red and a piece of black ribbon and words are computer generated! only just 5 minutes ago gave this card to the customer and she fell in love with it bless her!! Makes me feel good too, another satisfied customer.

Right, Hubby shouted dinner ready so i best fly,

White and Gold Wedding Card

My neighbours son asked me on Tuesday to make a card for his sister who is getting married on Monday! "yipes" not got long then LOL... So i decided on this simple design (wasnt simple to make thou LOL) White pearalised card. which i embossed with some hearts all over it using a brass stencil that i had.. The main imagi again is a stencil which i then coloured the hearts and leaves with Gold Glitter glue and matt n layered it on Gold Mirri card.. Gold and White Satin ribbon down the left side. finished off with a bead cap and pearl brad.

Wording on card is compter generated.
Wishing you all a happy Sunday, dont know about you but weve had an awful wet miserable day here in Weston Super Mare.
But i have made a sponge, which im going to cut out some hearts with a cutter and make them up for valentines day tomorow.

New home

A few more that were made also at a card making workshop 2 weeks ago. ive got so much going on at the moment that i just havnt felt up to putting cards on my blog, it doesnt feel right as the ideas were our teacher at our classes, not cards that i have sat, thought about and made myself

Sorry short and sweet posts but ive just not got it in me at the moment to do or say anymore.... My son is poorly and ive been trying since October to get through it, ive got to the stage i dont know what to do. His dad is nto being very helpful as normal..... Such is life, but we got to keep moving on havnt we?? Anyway thats why im not about much or doing much in making cards etc. But i do start my Diploma next week in child care for fostering... Ohh nooo my poor brain how will i cope lol

Colin has got an interview for a job tomorow so fingers crossed he will be lucky!!

Hello, well ive still not got my mojo but but really need to soon as ive got 6 card orders to make!!

The cards here are what i made at a card workshop that i go to once a week.

I just love the Black and Red card, isnt it gorgeous? I have been trying to find the stamp that was used on this but not found it yet!!

pretty in pink

I quickly made this card on Tuesday for a friends birthday.. gorgeous Sarah kay stamp coloured in with promarkers, the papers are a freebie from quick cards this month, papers matted onto pink card, i glittered the flowers doesnt really show up much in the picture. i then used cuttlebug dies for the corners and a peel off for happy birthday, didnt have the time to do it on my printer.

Hope your all having a lovely weekend, weve got colins daughter here this weekend and all girls have been up in the craft room making valentines cards.

I have a few more that ive made, i will try and get them on over the next few days.

Im hoping to get back into doing some of the challenges that are about soon. Just got so many other things going on here at the moment, im not really getting much time to myself

Birthday and thank you cards

Well!!! I dont know what happened then, i uploaded pics wrote everything, clicked publish(well i thought i had) then i lost it all!!

So this will have to be short and sweet now!! I dont have the time at the moment to take pics and get my cards on here sorry. life is hectic with fostering and doing our CWDC. The cards that im showing today were from a card workshop that i went too, the owls are from "making cards" freebie papers a while ago. The floral one is one that i actually did get made at home last week again papers from "making cards"

The thank you cards also from a card making workshop which i love to go to, we have such a laugh, just what i need to get away from fostering once a week and Colin goes to Archery twice a week, I have recently started Jewellery making classes as well once a week, it does us both good to have that break.

Ive been suffering terribly lately with Sciatica on my right side, so havnt really felt up to making cards as ive been in too much pain. BUT i have found the time here and there to sort out my craft room, it has been such a mess since christmas lol.......I will try and get some pics on here of our craft room. Colin done it all himself and has done a fab job , im sooo lucky :)

Hopefully soon i will get back into card making and also show you some of the pieces of jewellery that i have made

where has the time gone

Its nearly a month since i last put some photo's on here im so sorry. life has been manic to say the least, since christmas. Colin got laid off xmas Eve, what a time for that to happen, but we had a brilliant christmas with all of our children here and foster daughter. since the New year we have spent the time, finishing the kitchen!! yes i know cant believe it but the kitchen is finished and im so proud of my kitchen cause Colin built all the units and made all the doors, when ive got time i will take some photos and put them on here :)
and yes ive made some cards but not had chance to take pics and put them on here. but i will. we have been into the loft/craft room and sorted it all out. stuff that we kept saying " we will do a car boot sale" never got done so all went to the local charity shop!! craft room now much tidier, Colin is making a table with storage spce just for my Bigshot Pro :)
and did i tell you what he got me for christmas ?? A laser printer and hot foiling machine, so i cant wait to have a play, but for now i cant as ive ended up with Sciatica in my right side and cant do anything at the moment
will put some pics on here soon bloggers, im off to my Jewellery making class tonight. my 2nd one and i love it!!

Yes!! I can blog again, not sure what was wrong but ive fiddled around and got it working again, so hopefullyafter christmas you will see more from me.. I forgot to take photos of lots of my christmas card orders (How Naughty am i!)

The scottish santa was curtesy of Oh La La Creations thank you for coming to my rescue for a customer order.

The ithers are from a card workshop that i went to and really enjoyed myself,. may go again! It is really beginging to get me back into stamping. so thats what i will be doing in the new year. Plus at long last thanks to my friends daughter Salma my website will be up and running in the new year. I dont get much time to myself with orders for cards and stationary and that is just word of mouth so goodness knows how it will go with my website lol

thanks for looking. sorry ive not really said much, i had to have my dog Paddy put to sleep last Thursday as he turned violent on me and bit me very badly, i ended up in A&E with antibiotics, Tetnus booster jab and had to have dressing on my leg, dressing was changed Friday and now go back tomorow to hopefully have the dressing off and YES i will be able to have a bath ro shower. So.............RIP Paddy we love you and miss you very much, I had to do it as foster carers i couldnt afford to take the chance that next time it could of been a child or our foster daughter

Well here they are lol. the snowman card, handbag and flower cards were made when i was in Scotland a few weeks ago with Carol, the others are what I've made at home or with my friend. most cards are made using kanban supplies, my own stamps or stuff ion my stash that I've had for ages and trying to use up, sorry I've not been precise with what ive used, but its been a long time.

Ive uploaded these on my OH's putyer as i still can not get onto my blog from my laptop!! Groans..Ive got my son staying this week as he hasnt been to good so has come home to mummy for a break bless him.

Well i need a kick up the butt lol ive got loads of christmas card orders to do and reallyt need to make a start.

problems with blog

For some unknown reason i cant post on my blog from my laptop!! So im on hubbys puter letting you all know why nothing has been posted on my blog!. so next decision is do i try and set up another blog or have all the hassle of uploading pics of my cards on to hubbys puter and getting onto my blog that way. Answers on a postcard please :) LOL

I will let you know what i decide to do,
Mean while i have had a lovely break up in Aberdeen with the lovely Calonie (Carol) made about 7 cards and copied drawings of templates so i can have a go at them before deciding to buy them lol
We went to the SECC on the Saturday and i brought................................The Bigshot Pro die cutting machine, i had had a play of Carols. so knew i liked it and wanted it lol..It has just arrived here about half hour ago, so off to have a play with my new toy in a minute..I also got some glitter card, pearlescent card, 12x12 christmas papers, some stamps oh and some stencils, i love my stencils!! Cant remember what else i brtought sorry lol. But it was all saved up from my quit smoking nearly 13 weeks ago, so im well chuffed with myself..

Well its been a while hasnt it...Ive been so busy doing last minute jobs to our house ready to put it up for sale..THEN we find we have a water leak and its outside, so Colin today has dug up the front garden, found the pipe that is leaking and now we have to get it fixed!! Grrr just thinking we are nearly done and this happens!! Any way on to todays cards

These were all using acetate. first one is a shaker card which ive never made before, i cant tell you where the stamps are from as they were my friends. I used Promarkers to clour him in and the flowers on the front.

2nd one is using kanban card and nestabilities to make this lovely card, im well impressed with it.

3rd card is done by stamping on to acetate then on the reverse side i covered it in liqiuid laquer, then add drops of Alcohol inks to it and then swirl the inks around so they all mix in to each other, then you scrunch up some tissue paper, then straighten it out and put it onto the Alcohol inks and leave it to dry, Once dry i then matted it onto black, then green card. same was done for the piece to put the sentiment on.

These cards were orders that i had last month and 1 for this month, i did have others but forgot to take photos of them all, the one on the left is a card that i seen in cardcraftplus catologue, so i cheated on this one and copied it as time was getting on and my mojo just dissapeared, like it does!! the hearts are a stencil that i filled in with red glitter and the black is a sukura pen. The middle one is from Debbie Moores cd glitz and blitz and the last card is from one of joanna sheens cd roms. sorry not very helpful am i lol i cant remember which cd it is from.

This is the card that i made for Colin for his birthday, i got the idea from here If you have not visited this blog before then please do!! Ive changed the colours on mine and added extra stamping along the bottom.I got the stamp from Bubblyfunk
The inks i used were from Tim Holtz which is what i used to stamp main image onto, all the blues as my oh loves blue! and the main card was also using same ink pads which i used the cut and foam to do the inking around the outside of the card.

Ive made loads of cards BUT i can not find my connection lead to transfer my cards on to my computer..Soon as i find it you will be the first to see my cards..Ive gone mad lately on Tim holtz again, brought loads of his stuff. Also loads of the scene it stamps again cant show as i cant upload my photos.
Really excited as my daughter is coming to stay next Thursday till the following Tuesday, i havnt seen her for ages. She likes to make cards occasionally as well, so maybe some crafting will be done :) Sunday is my birthday and we are off out for a meal not sure where we are going yet thou. I think we may try somewhere new.

Also ive been busy with wedding stationary orders,but saying that i have got 5 card orders to be made this week and next week,so i think im going to be very busy dont you?? sketch and stash challenge

Ive been asked to make a card for a friends partner and all she told me was that he liked Tractors! so luckily i had this stamp that i had got from Joanna Sheen. I coloured it in with my promarkers.YES im getting better with my colouring in lol. The papers were from Papermania and they were backed onto navy blue card,which i had got from a local craft shop. I cut some squares in blue and Red and added blue buttons to them with navy blue ribbon.
You dont know how good it feels to be getting back into making cards, Ive missed it but life has been so busy.it will be another busy week next week,but hopefully i will have time to fit in some challenges.

For my card i have used the sketch from Sketch and Stash Challenge.

Here i am again with the last 2 Fathers day cards,havnt i been busy lol..the oriental card is an inage from joanna sheens cd. the papers are from my stash as are the embellishments,so i couldnt tell you where i got them from now.words are computer generated.

2nd card is a decoupage from Bedazzled designs, she sales lots of cute embellishments too. layered on to black and red mirri card and the words are computer generated..

These cards fit the challenge for Crafty Cardmakers challenge this week cards for men.

Now this week i really must get on and finish the wedding stationary order.so i doubt i will have much time to do any challenges :(

Fathers Day

this card was made for a friends dad, i was told he loved fishing! so hope this is ok..It is a Kanban diecut image again(good for quick easy cards)
the papers come from papermania and i used a green piece of card to back the image on too. I thought the green ikkle crocadiles looked good so i put a couple of these on lol. words are computer generated.

This card can go into CAS challenge this week "Fathers day Theme"
two more to upload in a minute and then im done for Fathers day cards wahoooo Men cards can be so difficult at times cant they?

Fab n funky

Todays card has been made for a Faothers Day card and Fab n Funky challenge is to make a funky mans card.SO here we are, it is a Kanban die cut which i got from my local craft shop. May wanted plain but funky on her card,hope she likes it. Matted and layered in navy blue and lime green pearlescent card. 3 buttons down the right hand side and the sentiment is computer generated.

one stop craft challenge

This week it is a sketch,which has helped me make this card for a customer, i do hope you like it.I hope you can just about see the layout,because of my colour choice its not showing up that well!!. But i have followed the sketch honest!! LOL Ive used the papermania papers for this card as it matched so well. fairy decoupage was from my stash also used a lovely shade of dark pink for the backing of the papers.

I used one of my scalloped nesties for the text on the right.

well for this card i started using a layout from a sketch and then realised i had messed up LOL

the backing papers are from a new stash but ive lost the front of it saying who it was from! Trust me hey. all papers were matching and blended in well together, i used my promarkers to colour the image in and words are computer generated..Sorry this is a bit rushed, hubby is waiting to go out!!

18th Birthday card

Another card for my foster girl. It was her sisters 18th Birthday yesterday and they are all meeting up for a day out tomorow (wish i could go lol) quick easy card really using my Cricut for the number 18 done in silver mirri card and matt and layered in silver and white. words are computer generated and 2 clear gems at the bottom to finish it off.

My foster girl wanted me to make a card for her respite carer as its her birthday tomorow and they are all off to Creally Lucky things!!

anyway on to the card, the image is from Joanna sheenes JNM cd, i printed it off onto canvas paper and it looks gorgeous,cant really see it can you sorry. I printed off some backing papers in a bluey green colour and matted it on to silver mirri card. the flowers are from Wild orchids and the fern leaves are from a punch i got many years ago from the glitter girls. words are computer generated.

main card is black, with dark orange and copper for matting, papefrs are from Papermania Hampstead, fab papers and so ideal for men cards. Image is off of google as he is in to fast and furious

Cute card Thursday Sketch

Good evening. well this card took me four attempts to get it right, my head is not with it today, ive got a nasty cold and my sinuses are blocked apparently. So im on tabs and just not thinking straight.
Anyway on to the card, Cute card Thursday are using a sketch this week, which worked out great to help me make this card for a customer.All i was told is she wanted pinks and lilacs and handbags/shopping. I got this stamp last week, the papers were in my stash as were the flowers, but i did buy the ribbon yesterday. Cute Card Thursday challenge is one for the boys/men in your life, this is a new lot of stamps that i got a couple of weeks ago, again using my promarkers to colour them in(still learning) Papers are from my stash that ive had for a while. I am hopeless at making mens cards,why do we find them so difficult to do?

60th Birthday

This card was made for a crafting friend who is 60 today! I used my Sarah Kay stamp, using my new promarkers wahooo i brought another 16 this week and i still havnt got all the colours, i need more practise as you can see,but i am getting better also the papers used are from a friend Nikki that she gave me for my birthday last year as well as a few other things. I used my MS punch and a happy Birthday stamp which was a free gift a few months ago,flowers from my stash(which reminds me i must buy some more) the number 60 was done on my cricut, a machine that i have hardly used, but i think my friend Lesley is buying off of me and i want the new puzzle Inspirations!!

Hello, well as you can see ive had a busy few days making cards, it was a nice change as i havnt had much chance to make any lately. the top card is one from a workshop that i went to, it was resist stamping and i really enjoyed making this card. the next one is for a friend who loves animals, a very quick and easy card to make and i just added a happy birthday peel off to finish it off.

This A4 art deco card was for my daughter Gemma birthday which was today, gosh i feel old she was 26 today!! Her fav colours are Green and Yellow so this card fitted her lovely, i added a few clear gems on the card a green flower and a yellow/cream rose from Wild orchid crafts,. i just love their flowers!! and a happy birthday peel off (still using my last few peel offs up lol)

This card is from a Hunkydorey kit which i used to make my friend Jeans card, hope she liked it.

this one is odd bits found in my stash from Joannas RHS cdrom. Im really missing having the time to make cards, but what with fostering,keeping an eye on our darling dog Trudy who is very poorly now and also now we have got a piece of land which we have been busy digging/rotavating and planting our own veggie seeds, there really isnt much time in the day to make cards. Ive suffered terribly with back hips and leg pain in the last few days from so much gardening, Colin tells me off as i shouldnt be doing it really but i get sooo frustrated that i cant do the things i love to do like gardening, so i am suffering quietly lol

chinese happy birthday

I was asked to make a card for a dad that is into Chinese. so i ordered a chinese dragon for this one,embossed it in Gold and coloured in using a red H2O that i had..layered it with black and red pearlescent card and some paper that i had with chinese symbals on..I went on to Babel and tyed in Happy Birthday Dad to get it changed into chinese.
Embellishments down either side i have had for a while now so cant tell you where i got them from
Ohhh ive just been told that my card fits the challenge for Tuesday Taggers
this week they want to see Dragons on your card,tags etc. Another glorious sunny day here in Weston Super Mare, off to the beach tomorow and Sunday we are going to visit Sammy... Have a great weekend Blogging friends

OMG!! ive managed 2 more cards

This card is for my mum, her birthday is on Thursday.Ive used Joanna Sheens RHS cdrom for this card and the other one,Peonies one of my mums favourite flowers. Ive matted it on gold card with a red Peony. Hope she likes it,going to be a day late but my mum is used to that,she knows what a busy life i lead now bless her.

This card is a customer order,her mum will be 65 on the 23rd. again i have used Joanna's RHS cdrom using purple pearlescent card. I have used a few prisma flowers and a lilac paper flower for this card. I do hope she will like it.

Well i have 2 more cards to get made this week for customers as well as my workbook for fostering to get on with and see to our poorly dog Trudy. Colin my OH is poorly this week with a stomach bug.hope i dont catch it lol, told him he can sleep on his own and no kisses!! LOL cruel wife arnt i.

Fostering is going well,but very busy,House was valued Monday and it was the price we thought it would be but he did say that we may be able to put it on for more as we have decorated and done it up to superb standards, so thats good news,we have seen a house that we would like but need to sort a few things out first.so watch this space lol. I told Colin when we move we will have several journeys.one for all stuff in our house, two for gardening and garage stuff because of all his tools. and one for my craft stash as the loft is full to over brimming lol

well!! im in shock ive managed to find time to make some cards lol one is for a customer (21st) the other is for my DD boyfriend. Both die cut decoupage, quick and easy lol both had background papers with them and i then used black n red on one card for layering and Green and Yellow for the other one.

Fostering is all go at the moment plus very busy doing last bits and pieces to our house to get it finished. off to see someone next week about a mortgage so fingers crossed. Ive got another 6 birthday cards to make this week..Two that i must get made today as well as the Ironing,but the weather is so gorgeous outside i want to be outside!! Groan.....

Phew ive managed to make some cards..4 Mother day orders needed by Tuesday,so ive given myself a clap on the back!! Just not in the mood at the moment to make cards,but because i had to make them i got on and done them..2 are from House Mouse designs at Joanna Sheens

the other 2 i think are from her RHS cd rom..i used some papers from my stash on the House Mouse cards and my Martha Stewart border punch finished off with Organza ribbon on both..

The images on the other 2 as i said are from the RHS cd rom and i used pearlescant card/mirri card to matt n layer..

Still no news on our dog Pepsi but we will never give up on her, she will come back home one day and until then we will sit and wait.

Now ive got to get back to wedding stationary order, need to get this one finished as ive got another order to get done for June/July and im waiting to hear from someone as to when they are coming to see me or i go to them to work out their designs for wed stationary, favour boxes etc..so im busy busy at moment, which is good as then it stops me thinking of my own problems doesnt it lol

and the reason why there has been no cards is

1. im trying to get wedding stationary order finished
2 we have a new foster lad
and last of all
3 our darling dog Pepsi decided to take herself walkabouts on last Saturday when Colin took her up Brean Down for walkies,one minute she was there next minute gone!!! That in a way is normal for Pepsi,she will get the scent of a rabbit or something and shes gone.No amount of whisteling from Colin will bring her back for a while..Normally he takes her to the woods for a run and believe or not she will find her way back home...But this time..a new place to take her plus a 20 min drive in the car to get there..so no chance really of finding her way home..
so she has now been gone 6 days..we have contacted the police. RSPCA. Dog wardens in all areas ..vets in all areas..announcement on local radio and ive also registered her on a lost and found pets website with her photo..But nothing!!
You name it,we have done it but to no avail..All i can think now is that some nasty horrid person fell in love with her and has taken her home with them..she is microchipped so ive also contacted them and they have got her down on there missing list!!
Ive shed so many tears..Colin has not slept for days properly..But we wont give up on her..I will put a photo of her on here in a mo so you can all see her..

So thts why ive been a bad bad blogger and im so so sorry

Strugglig

At the moment i can not make cards..1 because i have to get a wedding stationary order finished and 2 my back and hips really playing up at the moment..I would love to sit and make a card or 2 but just not possible,i am halfway through making the stationary order but it is hard going...Also Colin decided yesterday to get on and make a start on decorating the lounge,so there is dust and mess everywhere and i cant tidy up!!! so frustrating girls isnt it when you want to get on and do something and you cant..

On fostering side of things we are still waiting to hear about one placement but did have 1 girl over night Tuesday and a girl stayed over night last night.

Trudy our dear little long haired miniture dashhound was in the vets last Monday and he confirmed what we feared,she has got doggy Alzeimers also her eyes have got the signs of cataracts and her hearing is begining to go,bless her...so its all go at the moment..

Havnt forgot any of you just either busy or no get up in go because of the pain im in to get on here and view blogs

Well!! off we toddled to B&q yesterday to get paint for bathroom and said to Colin lets pop into carpetrite to see what end of roll carpet theyve got,,,,and im so pleased that we did..5.8 x 4m end of roll carpet for £104 well,we had to have it didnt we.so they held it for us till today as we didnt have roof rack on car,,went and collected it today,it is now proudly sat on the stairs untill we decorate our lounge..so all is going well at moment,house nearly ready to go on the market,but will it sale?? Hmm have to wait and see wont wer.

More phonecalls about placement today,still dont know if we will get her or not..but fingers crossed we will defo know one way or another tomorow
Today has been a lazy day as my back hips and foot been really bad..but i did manage to get some of the dreaded Ironing done and another sample for wedding stationary ..Must get them all ready for Friday when she will be calling to see them..

sleepover party invites

Good evening..these are the party invites that i had to make for my step grand daughter for her birthday on Feb 24th..Gemma said to make them girly ie handbags and make up,, i looked and looked and i didnt have anything for this.so on Thursday morning i phoned Mandi at my local craft shop see if she had anything that i could buy..Mandi dsaid yes so i popped over to her shop Thurs morning,she showed me what she had and i asked for four of each and this is what i made..Thanks Mandi much appreciated..have a look at Mandies blog if you got time,,she is a cricutholic lol
Off they went in the post yesterday,Gemma phoned today to say that she had recieved them and they were great!! PHEW lol

Busy next few days making some wedding invitation samples and doing my coursework for fostering

Valentine I love you

Well i said i would upload the card i made yesterday and ive managed to do it!!
The hearst are from Joanna sheen Victorian Romance.My first waterfall card yeahhh ive done it,with a bit of hmmming and arrring i managed to do it,but it was a learning curb and next time i make one hopefully it will be 100% right lol
ive based it on a white hammered card and layers of red and gold
2 pearl brads from papermania to finish it off...Not my own design it was from one of Joanna books,but hey at least ive managed to make one ive wanted to do one for ages and my friend Lesley came round yesterday for a crafting day and so we made this,which was good for me as i learnt something new as well as giving Lesley a crafting lesson..

Been to town got the bits and bobs to make sleepover party invites,so that is my job for today.Plus start on my coursework and make a friends special card as she will be 60 soon.

Busy Busy

Yesterday went well for our review for fostering,very pleased with us and we have been approved for another year
Hopefully by next week we will have a new placement if all goes well
Today my friend Lesley came over for the day and we made 1 card!! A waterfall card,Not had time to upload it tonight but will do it tomorow...Got to go into my local craft shop as Mandie the owner has cut me out some bits n pieces to make 4 sleepover party invites for my step Grandaughter..
I need to get 3 cards made for this week alone as well as my coursework for fostering.Next workshop is Feb 4th so i got to get my skates on!!!

We have our 1st yearly review for fostering,its quite nerve racking,but hopefully all will be ok
if they ok us for another year,we then go in front of the panel again,for a chat to make sure all ok

No cards made to add to my blog this week,i have made some but just too busy to upload on to here,Next week i have to really knuckle down and get my coursework done for fostering as we have another workshop for it on Feb 4th and im a tad behind with it all
But i do have 6 cards to make for Febuary plus my daughter has asked me to make some party invites for my step granddaughter Chloe

Another birthday card and a few extra ones

Opps i put the same card on here twice and i dont know how you delete it? Does any of you clever girls know how i do it Please?

Ok on to the cards 3 of them have been made using the Paws and Claws cd from card creations. I used white linen card for main card and the backing papers off the cd with some red pearlescent card and black tapestry card couple of red Gems and a red flower and pearl brad in the centre

The other card is for my ex MIL who will be 80 the end of this month,Now then the image from this i think is from one of Joannas cds but im sorry im not sure which one as it was already printed out from my stash layered it on Pink and Dusky Pink pearlescent card and a pink flower. Sentiment is from my computer that i printed off

Bah! Humbug! challenge 2 Using new/nearly new

Bah Humbug challenge this week is new/nearly new
My son treated me to some more Promarkers this christmas,i gave him a list of colours i wanted and he got them all bless him..Thanks Paul...Also the stamped image is from Debbie Moores christmas collection,which i treated myself to with some christmas money...
Main card is white hammered card also using Red pearlescent and Green card for matting and papers are from a 12 x 12 pack from DCWV i think!!
So this lovely image is coloured with my new promarkers,ive got a lot to learn but i will get there,i sure enjoyed making it so that is now 2 cards for next Christmas lol

May not be around to make any cards for the next week due to placement that is arriving tomorow night..but you never know i might be lucky,but if not about you know why

Bah Humbug challenge this week is RECYCLING not your handmade cards of course,we could nver reuse them,they are safely put away in my special cards box from my friends,no this is recycling from your shop brought cards.So i have used this lovely father christmas from a card that i recieved this year..I used my computer for "christmas wishes" and then used some stars from my few peel offs that i have left (thanks goodness i kept these lol) and stamped n embossed the snowflakes. wahayyy thats my first christmas card ready lol Thanks Bah Humbug for this genius blog to get me to make my christmas cards

Well if youve not got it i dont know who has!! So after a long think and look in magazines,i ended up following the project on craft stamper for this one today papers downloaded from pink petticoat, Yes, Something ive not done before downloading papers,but yeahh ive done it and will do it again..

This card is for my friends husband,he was 50 on Saturday,yes i know im late doing it lol just had no get up and go since christmas after one bug and another then getting a mouth infection

but anyway, this image and backing paper is from Joanna sheens Victorian companion. and it fits the bill for Dave as they have their own small holding.

Last b ut not least this card is shown on Joanna sheens "world of cards" hmm yes i think that is what the book is called,yep im hopeless at moment lol

Ive used the wild rose stamp and stamped the backing card then coloured in with my watercolour pencils matted onto pink and green card Tassles ribbon and corner peel offs,. must admit i do love this card

Sooo cold

Up in my craft room at the moment,ive been looking at some kind of heating for the loft..hopefully get it sorted soon,,Meantime Colin has made me a table that fits in our hallway,so that i can have my laptop,printer and some of my stash,so tomorow hopefully,card making here i come
Weve had a lot of snow which is unusual for W.S.M we dont normally get any,but today we had about 3 inches of snow. Dogs loved it out in the snow bless them.

Hope your all ok and had a great christmas and new year? mine wasnt brilliant,Colin and i was poorly with a tummy bug and then i came down with a bad cold and cough,,also had a few family problems but hey thats life isnt it and we have to keep smiling and keep going...

Last of the christmas orders

Well .all done at last..Louise always asks me every year to make her special cards for family,thats why no sentiments on these cards, as posted,but they are all finished now with names etc

Every year i have to check what cards i made her the year before lol ..They are all from Joanna Sheens cd roms..Enchanted christmas and Victorian christmas...Added embellishments of flowers brads and silver flowers, which i seen on another blog and had to have these silver flower embellishment,managed to get a few and now all sold out!!

Ive added ribbons on some to finish them off,all again from Joanna Sheen ...

This last one i love and used glitter on the tree and wishing well which has finished it off to a tee...Louise was well chuffed with the cards ive made her, several of her friends seen them and fell in love with my cards so hopefully more orders from her friends as well next year

Right short and sweet my eyes are so tired and loads more to do before christmas is here!! Seeing my daughter christams eve..My mum christmas day then on the way home pick up Colin daughters and have our christmas dinner and presents Boxing day

Christmas cards at last!

Well i got some made lol,not what i would of liked to make,but time was running out,so they are all quick easy cards this year..Hmm do hope i can be excused this year my friends. odds n ends of decoupage and images n papers form making cards magazine .

Got everything crossed today,that we will get another placement in next few days,,

Tomorow Tuesday will be a hard day for me as my best friend goes in for an operation..fingers crossed all will be ok for her...

Nowt much to say at the moment nothing much going on just busy with christmas stuff lol

I have been attempting to make some christmas cards but mojo keeps disapearing LOL
Lots have been going on lately so no real "me" time...
Colin is busy trying to get the kitchen finished and that will be another room done
Im still waiting to hear about my CT Scan that i had Oct 3rd
Hoping to get another placement soon.. loads of coursework to do for fostering dont know if im coming or going..my poor brain!!
Also we have our first review in January next year,so busy preparing for that

Hope to get some cards on here next week!! fingers crossed lol but something else might get in the way before then

Vintage inspired

Wahooo ive managed to do a challenge!! This one is from Our creative corner anf the challenge is " creat a card using something vintage of vintage inspired" Ive had these images/set for ages and ages i got them from Create & Craft so i thought i would put them to good use, the main card papers & Images are all from the kit only extras i used is the backing paper from my stash which i inked up with Adirondack ink pad "Butterscotch" and a brad from my vintage set on the tag.

Ive never entered this challenge before so i hope ive done it right lol

Very busy at the moment with paperwork for fostering,they have decided that all trainings that you do must be folled up with a BIG pack of questions and answers which will go towards your NVQ its like being back at school again lol but well worth it

My Nieces husband has had a very nasty accident on his scooter so i thought i would send him this card to try and cheer him up..The image is from Joanna sheens messy rabbit cdrom which is gorgeous..ive decoupaged him but you cant really see it that well..matted n layered him on some papers that my friend Nikki let me use :)

Always hard to do a man card cause you cant really add flowers or ribbon can you!

WOW another card for me lol.this image is from Joanna Sheens Baby love cdrom If you have not got it then please do have a look on the project gallery,there are some stunning images. I based this on a white hammered card and matted it on silver mirri card..to finish it off a piece of blue organza ribbon and the words "to the proud grandparents..
Im out all day tomorow to see my friend Dawn so no card making,but hopefully Friday i can get on with much needed christmas cards and more samples

Birthday card for a teenager think it fits the bill and she will like it..I have got several of the flippen teenager series so thought i best use one lol instead of them just sat there..ive put some lovely bluey green paper on the front as i think they look better like this

Wedding Anniversary card using Joanna sheens fashion boutique cd rom i just love this image..green ribbon down the side and a bow added,gold flower in right hand corner and i used my fern leaf punch for a couple of leaves to finish it off,,used my computer for the sentiment...well im chuffed to bits ive managed to show some cards after earlier saying i had no time...

Just finishing a baby card off for grandparents.Colins Aunt & Uncle son and partenr had a baby boy last week..I will try and put the finished card on tomorow

I do miss it but no time for it at the moment,too busy on other things.one being getting all the odd jobs finished in the house so we can hopefully sale it next year!!

Camera died

Grrrrr 2nd time it has been sent back to Olympus in the last month!! So no cards to show,im so sorry. Ive been making and buying craft items and cards but no camera to show.Hopefully soon i will be able to,some stuff that ive made cant be shown thou as it is wedding invite samples for someone.
Not been well either and still waiting for my spinal surgeon to get in touch and tell me whether they are doing surgery on my back or not.
My friend of 26 yrs is waiting to hear if another hoispital will take her for an operation that she needs.One hospital is saying no as its too high a risk to operate hmm and she is now not sure if she wants the operation done and suffer the pain knowing the consequences..Life can be soo cruel at times cant it
Our foster lad went,we are now waiting for a new placement..could be weeks before we get one again,so im sort of enjoying the break.

lack of blogging

Hello and sorry,I have got 2 friends staying so i havnt made any cards.well, I did but forgot to take a photo so havnt got anything to show you,Invitations that are being made can not be shown yet. Went to Westpoint to the craft fair Sunday and met up with some lovely crafting friends Hmm did i buy anything? Yes,of course i did but wasnt going to lol..I got the new Paws n Claws cd. some more pearlescent card. some gorgeous stenciils that were in a set, 4 stencils and some decoupage and foam pads £15!! bargain...a few embellishments and of course my favourite Ribbons!! anyone htat knows me well enough i love ribbons,to look at of course,not use lol
Feeling sad becasue Oct 5th our foster lad leaves us and moves to new foster carers closer to home, i knew it would happen one day,bet you sort of put that away untill the day comes and now it is upon us.Such is life hey!

Flippin men card

Well here it is,a card at long last ..I actually made 2 so my customer could choose and she chose the one that i didnt take a photo of lol typical hey.The other one was the ole man on the toilet. On this one i did the acetate in the centre,but done the front and back with Red paper,which has made him stand out more

thats about it for this card,simple,once you know how.took ages to match front and back up thou. Im going to make the rest of them up(I brought the whole men set) ready for a car boot sale that i am hoping to do soon.

Also made another card today,but sorry i cant show that one yet. Will say why,when i know more

Very busy at moment with stuff but have made 2 flippen men cards and will hopefully get them on here later
Not had a chance to go blog hopping sorry,but will as soon as i can . Colin has gone back to work,to see how he gets on, managing okish so far, so i am home alone every day and it does feel strange not having him around,our foster lad is at his mums 3 days a week so he can get to college ok, so ive not even got him for company lol
But i have got 2 crafting buddies coming to stay in 2 weeks time,so looking forward to that..Busy making cards and hoping to do a car boot soon,see if i can get sales from that and also gave a lady one of my business cards in town yesterday. she phoned last night asking for a birthday card for 80 yr old lady.wants it next week, as well as ive started on all my christmas cards and loads to make for myself plus have several orders to make up

Quilled wedding card

Good morning,..well at last another card to show you, it is my friends wedding this Friday,so ive been desperately trying to get this card finished and i must admit i really enjoyed doing it..I got the idea from Australian parchment website and changed it to suit me..Hopefully you can see that the colours are chocolate brown,Gold and Ivory, Janeys colours for her wedding..all quilled flowers and the fern leaves are using a punch that i got from the glitter girls..I used my heart nesties in 3 differant sizes a couple of corner peel offs and the wording form my computer

Well,Hellooo Ive managed to make a couple of cards lol ..with one thing and another i just havnt had much chance of making cards lately.But have been busy with other things,,which hopefully all will be revealed september timish..My back n hips have been bad so loads of pain killers,then i dont have the get up and go to make cards..but hey never mind lol..The first card is an image that me and Twinkledoes picked up when she came to stay in February,i found it last week so thought i would finish it off..just simple matt n layered with black n Red card a couple of flowers and 3 red gems..With a lovely red bow on her dress..

Second card im sure you all recognise as a inage from Joanna Sheens Fashion boutique cd...I have actually put her on to the white card using red pearlescent down the left hand side..BUT i used acetate as her cover and added the cute flowers and feathers to the front of the acetate.....ok hubby shouting dinner is ready so i have to go

where does the time go

I know,Ive said it before but crikey its nearlyt a month since i last posted on here.
Well i had 2 lovely crafting friends come to stay for a week well just over a week,we had a bar b que on the beach with more crafting friends,2 which travelled all the way from Kent for the day. my sister came our foster lad was there and my step daughter,the weather was good(well it didnt rain) another day we went to Devon and met up with 2 more crafting friends..we messed around in my craft room but didnt actually make anything lol also it was my birthday and i got some craft pressies..more cuttlebug embossing folders and dies..perfume..chocolates. jewellery ohh loads of things.best birthday ive had in years.....and excellent news Colin passed his health n safety exams wahooo im so proud of my baby xx xx .....Craft room still having work done on it but i can work in here,i have been very busy doing desings for our business and website(hopefully website will be live by end of September)
Busy getting the garden up together ready for Autumn/winter....
My mum is still not well,if anything she is getting worst and Arhtur isnt to good since his stroke 6 weeks ago.
well i must love n leave you,hopefully i will have one card to put on here in the next few days

Im back my friends with 2 cards

I had to make 2 cards for Louise, a wedding anniversary card for her mum & step dad and a Birthday card for her mum. So after much help from my friend Pauline,i made the anniversary card from an image on Joanna sheens cd Dancing with Shadows printed onto acetate and backed with a lovely beige/sand marbled glitter card,I only had the one piece and its gorgeous but cant remember where i got it from grrrrr then matted onto copper pearlescent card and another piece of the glitter card.. heart borders top and bottom and a couple of corner peel offs. a couple of paper flowers from my stash and the words written from my computer,,she loved this card.

The birthday card as you can see is a single pop out card using mirri card in magenta and silver and the image is from Joanna sheens cd floral fantasy...A white paper flower on the inside and a few plum colour flowers inside and a lilac ribbon..Again Louise was amazed at this card and said "Is there ever an end to your talents Wendy your cards are always beautiful and always so differant" I have been making cards for Louise for about 4 years now. I need to write them all down in a book so that i dont make the same card twice lol...

Im so chuffed that ive eventually made some cards.I made my husband his 1st card since we got married last year with "Husband" on it and he loved it,i forgot to take a photo thou dohhh silly me lol

Nearly there

WOW Colin has worked hard in the last few days and i now have 2 work tables up and one shelf,not his fault,its mine as i keep changing my mind how i want it,so i am hoping on monday he will do some more work in the loft before he goes to his mums for a few days to help her out,then i can get in there and do some crafting yeahhhhh i cant wait,ive missed making cards and ive got 5 cards to make for July luckily they are all in later part of July..
Its been very hectic here my mums partner had a small stroke,my mum isnt well anyway so we have been up and down to her a lot in the last month and now Colins mum is not well,.it all comes at once doesnt it.plus the car had to go in again and needed a new altinater or however you spell it lol that was another £300 ..Gosh i do hope the car will be ok from now on..

Well i must get on with dinner we have had a lovely day at the beach and now home to cook dinner n sit and relax for the evening..i hope!! Fostering is going really well so thats good news.Cya all with my first card soon!!

What a week!!

All was ok until Wednesday,we went to see my mum and do a few jobs for her,she is not to good now.her ankles and legs are constantly swollen and painful.Specialists have said its water retention but also arthritus in her left ankle.All she done on wed was complain,this wasnt right,that wasnt right,saying hurtful things to me and my sister,you see,when mum is ill and in a lot of pain she gets very down and then goes into a depression and thats what is happening now,She also has got it into her head that she is 80 now and not worth getting anything done as she wont be around much now,so it is very upsetting...Well we left mum's to make our way home,Just got off Juntion 21 for W.S.M and the car died on us,it took 3 phonecalls to AA then RAC to become members and get someone out to us,we eventually got home at 9pm and RAC man telling us it was the fuel pump gone on our car!! well thats all we needed. The car cost us over £500 all together with joining RAC and getting the car fixed!! we begin to pick ourselfs up and something else goes wrong...So sorry ive not been about to comment on blogs much or even make cards but what with Colin taking his Nebosh health n safety exams,my mum being ill and still no craft room ive not been very chatty or in the mood to blog,you know when you have those days when everything is against you and you feel that all you do is moan,well thats me at the moment lol But hopefully after Colin has his last exam on Tues he will get up into the loft and finish our craft room.So i can then make cards and hopefully start having some orders in as ive got my business cards made,handed them out to shops where my sister lives...My friend is coming in on the business with me so fingers crossed it will start to pick up soon..
But when it comes to my mum i just dont know..My sister cant cope and gets all upset,so then she is on the phone to me,bless her.Maybe because ive worked as a care assistant for god knows how many years i am coping with mum better than my sister...We are off to visit her again this Wednesday to do a few more jobs and see how she is,but it is certainly worrying she really isnt herself anymore...
Fostering is going really well,couldnt of asked for a better lad..so at least thats one good thing going right for us at the moment...

Yes im still about but no crafting as yet,we have our first placement and it takes up a lot of my time.Last we i had training days to go on,foster support meeetings etc..But Colin did get up into the loft Thursday afternoon and managed to get one work table up(4 more to go ) and thne he has 4 to put up on his side,plus shelfs for storage and he is going to build a new unit to put all my 12x12 papers and A4 card etc to go in,,Its all very exciting,I have painted it in a lovely lemon colour with loads of lighting and sockets for all my crarty toys lol..No windows in the loft as yet but i will be having 3 in the loft but seeing as they cost about £200 each i think it may be awhile before they are all put in..
Hope to be back soon with some cards as i just HATE having to buy cards.But im still having fun buying new craft items when the funds allow

Sorry no cards no time and no craft room at the moment.On 27th April as most of you know we were accepted for fostering.Well!! all craft stash from bedroom got boxed up and put into the loft while we decorated bedroom got a bed and made it into a craft room again ready for foster child.We were both exhausted for a week as it was non stop to get it all done..BUT hopefully next week Colin and i can get into the loft and start organising where to put shelves etc to have our craft room back wahooooooo .. Plus the weather has been so gorgeous we have been outside everyday since Friday getting the garden up together and sorting out our garage,which is used as Colins workshop but has got in a right mess lately where sometimes he has had to throw things in there out the way and also sorting out all his tools as there are so many that he wont be using anymore that we are going to sale them on at a car boot sale..When we ger round to doing one lol as we have got loads to get rid of!!Ive so missed not being able to go and make a card,It was my daughters birthday last Friday i had to buy her a card..Crikey i nearly hit the Rooth £4.79 FOR A CARD...girls we are not charging enough!!
Anyway i do hope everybody is happy in Bloggingland and hopefulyy i will be back with you all in the near furure

to Cathy and Ann 2 of my dearest friends for the awards that you have given me.I promise that as soon as monday is over and done with and we know whats what i will come back to my blog and put the awards on and forward it....today tomorow and sunday are very hectic days and all last minute jobs done and to celebrate with family and firends my mums 80th birthday,from what myself and my sister can gather it is going to be a very emotional day tomorow,but i will also put photos on next week to show you all what a fab time was had by all..

Mums birthday card and some photos from today

Opps it all seems to have gone back to front how did i manage to do that lol anyway here is my mums birthday card,i made a pop out card and boy did i make it quick this morning,my printer didnt want to play yesterday and by the time it did I was too tired to make the card as my brain just didnt want to work,so up early this morning and got it made,ive used images form Joanna sheens floraly fantasy cd and dusky pink pearlescent card to layer it,,and YES i used a tassel again gosh just shows how much i love my mum doesnt it to put a tassel on her card lol..I put pale pink and Burgandy organza ribbon down the left hand side and tied it into a bow..the inside is from the book marks from the same cd and the verse on the back of the card is from UVID CD of verses from Karen.

The photos above are of my mum and my sister Pauline and another one of my mum,my sister Pauline My Brother Phillip and me!! It was a lovely day but excausting we all had such fun. we ended up having the main meal.a sweet and then the birthday cake..and who forgot to take a photo of the birthday cake???? YES me how silly am i lol

Happy Birthday to my mum 80 today

Yes this is my mum a mum to be proad of,my dad died nearly 22 years ago.Mum found it hard as dad used to pay all the bills,write out the cheques etc so mum didnt have a clue,so between my sister my brother and myself we taught her how to do all these things. She has coped very well but over the years her arthritus and many other illnesses have now slowed her down a bit...But today she is 80!! what an age and she doesnt really look 80 does she..So we are taking mum out for a meal at lunchtime today then she has a surprise party on Sunday with Brothers,Sisters and friends that she has not seen in a while, so its going to be one hell of an exciting day for her plus my nephew and wife will be there with their new baby that ive not met yet!! so yes an exciting day for all..

Ive made mums card but cant show you yet as ive not got time but i will upload it later,WHEN ive sussed out how to upload pics from my new camera lol
